How do I mirror my entire system drive so that I can boot from the mirror drive without lose of any data in case my system drive fails?

For this you need to setup mirror for the entire system drive to another internal hard drive in real-time mirroring (RAID-1 type) mode. For example, if your system drive is "C:" and you want to mirror it to "D:", add "D:" as a mirror of "C:" with the following options enabled.

  • Mirror in real-time (RAID-1 type)
  • Mirror under Local System account
  • Compare size and last modified time stamp
  • Prevent direct file modifications
  • Copy file and folder permissions (ACLs)
  • Copy file and folder attributes
  • Exclude global temporary files
After you save this mirror settings, the software will perform an initial synchronization in the background to copy files from "C:" to "D:", except some locked system files, which will copied when you reboot the system next time. You also need to mark the mirror partition as "Active" (under Disk Management option in Computer Management utility) at this time to make it bootable.
